SseboExpress Marketplace Terms

The terms governing use of the SseboExpress marketplace.

These Terms are an agreement between you and Robert Nsubuga, an individual trading as SseboExpress ("SseboExpress", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your use of the SseboExpress applications, websites, support channels, and related marketplace services (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Marketplace role

SseboExpress provides technology that helps users discover and publish multi-category listings, communicate, and, where enabled, arrange or complete transactions. Categories can include goods, services, vehicles, property, jobs, farm listings, and community offers.

Unless a listing expressly identifies SseboExpress as the seller, the seller—not SseboExpress—is responsible for the listing, item or service, legal compliance, quality, safety, fulfilment, warranties, and after-sales obligations. We are not a party to employment, tenancy, property-transfer, vehicle-transfer, or service contracts formed between users merely because the Service helped them connect.

Features, categories, payment methods, delivery options, and verification tools may vary by seller, location, device, and release.

Version 1.0 is intended for availability in the United Arab Emirates, Uganda, and Kenya. Availability in a country does not guarantee that every marketplace category, seller, delivery method, or payment method is available in every part of that country.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You must give accurate information, keep it current, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorised access.

You are responsible for activity under your account. We may require email, phone, identity, business, payout, or other verification where justified by a feature, risk, provider, or law. A badge or verification status is not an endorsement or guarantee.

3. Seller obligations

If you list or sell through the Service, you must:

• have the right and all required licences or permissions to offer the listing;
• describe the offer, condition, price, location, availability, delivery,

returns, and material restrictions accurately;

• honour accepted transactions and applicable consumer rights;
• provide safe, lawful, genuine goods or services and required disclosures;
• keep customer information confidential and use it only to complete the

transaction or meet legal duties;

• pay displayed fees and taxes for which you are responsible; and
• cooperate with reasonable moderation, dispute, refund, recall, safety, fraud,

and verification requests.

Seller-specific return, shipping, cancellation, and warranty terms may apply, but they cannot remove rights that applicable law makes mandatory.

4. Buyer obligations

Buyers must review listing details, seller information, price, delivery, cancellation, and return terms before committing. Buyers must provide accurate delivery and payment information, pay valid charges, inspect deliveries where reasonable, and raise a genuine issue promptly through the available channel.

Do not send money outside an enabled and displayed checkout flow when a listing is represented as eligible for platform checkout. SseboExpress cannot guarantee recovery of off-platform payments.

5. Listings and prohibited conduct

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant SseboExpress a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for format or size, display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably needed to operate, secure, moderate, and promote the Service and your listing. This licence ends when the content is removed, except for cached, backup, dispute, legal, or already-shared copies retained as permitted by law and our Privacy Policy.

You must not list, request, upload, message, or do anything that:

• is illegal, fraudulent, stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, sanctioned, or subject

to a prohibited trade;

• infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, consumer, employment,

housing, anti-discrimination, or other rights;

• contains malware, deceptive links, spam, harassment, threats, sexual

exploitation, hate, or unlawful explicit content;

• manipulates reviews, rankings, prices, identity, location, or transaction

records;

• scrapes, reverse engineers, overloads, bypasses security, or uses automated

access without written permission; or

• attempts to evade fees, moderation, account limits, verification, or law.

We may reject, limit, remove, or preserve content and may suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

6. Payments, fees, payouts, and taxes

Only payment methods displayed as enabled in the relevant flow are available. Transactions may be processed by Stripe or another identified provider. A provider's terms and identity checks may also apply. SseboExpress does not promise that every method shown elsewhere in the app is enabled in every country or transaction.

Prices, delivery charges, taxes, commissions, listing plans, subscriptions, and other fees will be displayed before checkout, purchase, or subscription confirmation where they apply.

We may delay, cancel, reverse, or hold a transaction or payout where authorised by the provider, these Terms, a dispute, suspected fraud, sanctions, chargeback, legal process, or applicable law. Each user is responsible for taxes allocated to them by law; SseboExpress may collect, report, or withhold amounts when required.

7. Delivery, cancellation, returns, refunds, and disputes

Delivery dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed. The seller and delivery provider are responsible for fulfilment as applicable.

Return, cancellation, and refund eligibility depends on the seller policy displayed for the transaction, SseboExpress transaction rules, payment status, category, condition, and mandatory consumer law. Nothing in these Terms or a seller policy excludes a non-waivable consumer right.

Users should first use the in-app order, return, support, or communication tools and provide truthful evidence. We may facilitate a resolution but do not guarantee an outcome beyond obligations imposed on us by law.

8. Reviews and communications

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not be bought, coerced, misleading, retaliatory, or abusive. Messages and contact details may be used only for legitimate marketplace purposes. Users must not send spam or move a conversation off-platform to facilitate fraud or evade protections.

9. Intellectual-property reports

Rights holders may report allegedly infringing content at support@sseboexpress.com with contact details, the protected work, the listing or content URL, the basis of the claim, and a good-faith declaration. We may request verification and may remove content or restrict repeat infringers.

10. Service availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, commercial, or operational reasons. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every listing, seller, or user is genuine. Do not rely on the Service for emergency communications.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We disclaim implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct where such an exclusion is prohibited.

Subject to those non-excludable rights, SseboExpress is responsible only for direct and reasonably foreseeable loss caused by our failure to exercise the care required by applicable law. We are not responsible for a user's unlawful conduct, inaccurate listing, independent seller obligation, or loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, except where applicable law makes us responsible.

12. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, a business seller or other commercial user will indemnify SseboExpress against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from that user's unlawful listings, breach of these Terms, infringement, tax failure, or misuse of customer information. Consumer liability is not expanded beyond what applicable law permits.

13. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using the Service and may initiate account deletion through the in-app profile settings. We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated breach, fraud, safety risk, legal requirement, or harm to the Service or others. Sections intended by their nature to survive—such as payment, dispute, intellectual-property, retention, and liability terms—will survive.

Account deletion is subject to the Privacy Policy and lawful retention of transaction, tax, fraud, security, dispute, and enforcement records.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that apply in their country. Any dispute that is not resolved directly will be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in the United Arab Emirates, unless applicable mandatory law gives the user the right to bring the dispute in another forum.

15. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms prospectively. We will post the effective date and give additional notice where required. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted; otherwise we will request consent.
